As we celebrate 50 years of showing up for
North Carolina’s children and foster families,
we’re launching something new on this
Giving Tuesday to carry our mission into
the next chapter and

we’re saving you a seat.

We began as just a few foster parents sitting
around a shared table 50 years ago,
dreaming of a better way to support children
and families navigating foster care. Today, that
table has grown but the spirit remains the same.

Our Table is our new monthly giving circle: a community of people just like you showing up for North Carolina’s foster families. Just like the foster parents who first gathered around a dining room table to dream of something better, you can be part of building what comes next.

We’re looking for 50 people to join Our Table as Founding Members, giving $50/month in honor of 50 years of advocacy, connection, and care. Your monthly gift creates lasting impact, ensuring no family walks alone.

Already giving monthly? All current monthly donors will be automatically enrolled as Founding Members of Our Table and will receive the same recognition and perks as our newest supporters! Thank you for already showing up. 💙

Founding Members will receive:

-Exclusive Updates

-A Special Gift from Our Team

-And most importantly, a seat at the table where change begins

For the past 15 years, I’ve opened my home — and my heart — to more than 40 children in North Carolina’s foster care system.

I’ve sat beside toddlers trembling from trauma. I’ve cheered for teenagers as they graduated from high school. I’ve waited in emergency rooms, ridden in ambulances, stood behind jail glass, and held the hands of birth parents trying desperately to reunite with their children. I’ve picked up the pieces — again and again — when the system was too broken to catch them.

This work has taught me a lot about love. But it’s also taught me that love alone isn’t enough. Read more here
