TEAMING WITH TEENS 2025

September 27, 2025 - 9:30am-3:00pm
Greenville Convention Center

Foster Family Alliance of NC established the Teaming with Teens platform in 2022 to help support the needs of youth/young adults, caregivers and professionals that have experienced the child welfare system.  Our purpose is to provide education, resources and connectivity to all participants to assist with promoting stability and outcomes for transition age youth.

To support the learning and engagement of our participants, Teaming with Teens will offer a virtual series as well as an in person conference in 2025.  Each participant group, whether you are a caregiver, professional or youth/young adult, will be offered a virtual session specifically designed for your role prior to September 2025.  Please see event details on this page to locate the date of your virtual session.  All participants will then be invited to our in person event in September 2025 which will be hosted in Eastern North Carolina.  All of our events are designed to meet the needs of our North Carolina stakeholders.

We hope you can join us for both the virtual and in person event!!  Foster Family Alliance will provide opportunities for you to win prizes in both events.

We’re thrilled to announce Carlina Shotwell as this year’s Teaming with Teens keynote speaker!

With over 10 years of experience as a facilitator, life skills educator, and advocate for under-supported youth, Carlina brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the stage.

As a former foster youth, she uses her story and education to empower teens with the life skills they need to thrive and step confidently into adulthood. Her voice is one of hope, strength, and inspiration- one you won’t want to miss.
