Caregiver- Exclusive Edition

Teaming with Teens started in 2022 with a focus on bringing together caregivers, teenagers and child welfare professionals. We focused on increasing knowledge around topics important when parenting teens or for teens and connecting to resources.

We provided a virtual conference, a virtual learning community and 2 in person conferences from 2022-2025.

In 2026 we are focusing specifically on the caregivers that work with teens in foster care and those that may have an interest.

Audience: Currently licensed foster parents that parent teens, currently licensed foster parents that may have an interest in learning more about teens and community members that may be interested in parenting teens in care.

We have always invited you to TWT but this year it is all about you!! The Caregiver that supports our teens in foster care.

Training opportunities will be announced from May through November

Sessions will be joined by young adults with lived experience in foster care.

We welcome you as licensed caregivers to bring friends and family who have an interest in fostering teens. There is no pressure and no commitment. You are joining to learn in partnership with others who want to support teenagers who are in foster care.

In addition to training, we will host at least 2 information sessions designed specifically to share information regarding the needs of teens in foster care. You will receive an overview of the need and then have the chance to connect to licensing agencies to discuss an overview of the licensing process. You do not have to commit to become a licensed foster parent at the time of the session, you are coming to gather information.
